General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsMelissa Harris Perry has been having a great discussion on this morning
on the failures of civil rights policy and its contribution to poverty in the last 50 years. It is well worth watching and I will get a link up as soon as available. Very informative review of historical responses by the public to the legislation and of the institutionalization of racism in the post-civil rights legislation period. Ta-Nehisi Coates is part of the panel.

on all sides. She guides an intelligent and thoughtful discussion.

She cited a few articles, one was Alternet. Maybe Robert Reich. Been searching but can't find them. Anyone remember the articles.
