POLITICO- Bill Maher: Ruling shows ‘idiots’ won

Liberal comic Bill Maher slammed the Supreme Court for its decision to strike down limits on individual campaign contributions, saying “the idiots have found a way to break” the Constitution.
“They say the Constitution was created by geniuses so idiots could ruin it … I need to amend that,” Maher said Friday during his HBO program, “Real time With Bill Maher.”
“I think the idiots have found a way to break it … I think the idiots have finally won over the geniuses,” he said.
Maher’s criticism of Wednesday’s ruling follows that of the White House and Democrats who both expressed disappointment of the 5-4 decision that found caps on individual campaign contributions unconstitutional.
