Jeb Crow Shrub "the smart one" did a CONSCIOUS UNCOUPLING from running with "act of love"

Last edited Mon Apr 7, 2014, 04:36 PM - Edit history (1)

As if regular Rethugs can’t be bad enough, their TeaBagger nutcases are driving their pseudo“moderates” further OUT. Ted Carnival CRUZ did it by defeating for U.S. Senator the Texas LT Governor of eleven years, David DEWHURST, and now this Dan PATRICK jerk, a wingnut RADIO TALKSHOW HOST, is likely to humiliate DEWHURST again and is “a strong favorite in the general election against” Wendy DAVIS’s fellow candidate Leticia VAN DE PUTTE, the strongest Democratic candidates in twenty years.

Well, Democratic Leticia might lose, but bigger losers will be Rethugs DEWHURST and Jeb Crow Shrub, because the ‘BaggerWingnuts are driving the “moderates” into the ditches. Is Jeb Crow sending a very LOUD message that he is NOT running, with his “act of love” for immigrants statement? All of the Rethug wingnuts will choke themselves before supporting anybody talking the “act of love” namby pambiness. Since he’s the “smart” one, he didn’t shoot himself in the foot, which would be inadvertent, he did it as a CONSCIOUS-UNCOUPLING, dropping himself OUT of running. Rethugs don’t do the Sister Souljah fading away, so Jeb Crow Shrub will be the one dropping out not the other way around.

Patrick, Now in Driver's Seat, Credits Grass Roots

Almost eight years ago, before he became a state senator, Dan Patrick was known around the Texas Capitol as the Houston talk radio host who had once shouted down a powerful committee chairman in the middle of a legislative hearing.

Now Patrick, a Republican, is in prime position to control its most powerful post. He is the front-runner in a Republican primary runoff for lieutenant governor in May after a primary in which he finished 13 points ahead of the incumbent, David Dewhurst, who received just 28 percent of the vote. The runoff winner will be a strong favorite in the general election against state Sen. Leticia Van de Putte, D-San Antonio.

If Patrick succeeds Dewhurst, who has held the office for 11 years, it would begin a new era in a state Senate, where Patrick’s flair for showmanship and populist appeal once branded him as an outsider. ....

Among Patrick’s foremost backers is Steven Hotze, a Houston doctor and Republican donor, who like Patrick is a longtime client of Allen Blakemore, a political consultant. Hotze’s political action committee, Conservative Republicans of Texas, distributed an estimated 1.2 million mailers promoting Patrick among a slate of candidates during the 2014 primary in all but eight counties in the state.

According to campaign finance filings, Patrick spent $50,000 each on advertising in the state’s two other largest Harris County-based slate publishers — the Link Letter and the Texas Conservative Review, which both mail their lists to primary voters statewide.

Such methods have drawn criticism for what is perceived as a “pay to play” approach, in which candidates donate money or pay for advertising in exchange for an endorsement. ....

Jeb Bush says illegal immigration often 'an act of love'

(Reuters) - Jeb Bush, a potential Republican presidential candidate in 2016, said on Sunday that illegal immigrants who come to the United States to provide for their families are not committing a felony but an "act of love."

In comments at odds with the views of many in his party, Bush, the son of the 41st president and brother of the 43rd, said of the divisive immigration issue: "I think we need to kind of get beyond the harsh political rhetoric to a better place.

"I'm going to say this and it will be on tape and so be it," Bush said in an interview with Fox News host Shannon Bream in an event at the Texas presidential library of his father, George H.W. Bush.

"The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn't come legally ... and they crossed the border because they had no other means to work, to be able to provide for their family, yes, they broke the law, but it's not a felony.

His recent immigration comments 'act of love - not a felony' is an attempt to endear himself with those who have the most at stake - the immigrants that are in question.

He makes a comment like he does. He separates himself from most of the rest of the Repubs and potential Repub candidates - and takes away an issue from the Dems.

Oh - he's running alright.

All I can do is state my case for my opinion. Bill CLINTON ditched Sister Souljah who then went away with whatever tiny supporters she had. Jeb Crow Shrub cannot ditch an entire wing of his party. He could try to lead and educate them, but Wingnuts and TeaBaggers won't submit. Yes, he and the Texas branch of the B.F.E.E have rapport with some Hispanics and he is obviously pandering to those, but their numbers would not replace the kissed-off Wingnuts/TeaBaggers, who have NO rapport with Hispanics. I can only guess he is playing the Prophet role attempting to map out a possible future for the dying Rethug party. There are NO other Rethugs aside from the Texas B.F.E.E. who have any appeal to Hispanics, beyond the business class that wants cheap labor.

Now, hypothetically, let's say that the Wingnuts/TeaBaggers would stay and follow Jeb Crow and join numbers with the segment of Hispanics stoopid enough to be seduced --- uh, no, this is too far a hypothetical, since it would entail TWO unimaginable things: 1) that Wingnuts/'Baggers would "compromise" their core beliefs, and 2) that they are smart enough to pursue a strategy. They are Purists, will not bend.

Sister Souljah (born Lisa Williamson, 1964) is an American hip hop-generation author, activist, recording artist, and film producer. She gained prominence for Bill Clinton's criticism of her remarks about race in the United States during the 1992 presidential campaign. Clinton's well-known repudiation of her comments led to what is now known in politics as a Sister Souljah moment.

Souljah was the executive director of Daddy's House Social Programs Inc., a non-profit corporation for urban youth, financed by Sean Combs and Bad Boy Entertainment. ....

Souljah became infamous for her statements about the 1992 Los Angeles riots. In an interview conducted May 13, 1992, she was quoted in the Washington Post as saying:[8]

“If Black people kill Black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?”

The quotation was later reproduced in the media, and she was widely criticized. Presidential candidate Bill Clinton publicly criticized that statement—and Jesse Jackson for allowing her to be on his Rainbow Coalition—thus the Sister Souljah moment was created.
