Tea Party favorite and GOP gubernatorial candidate Tim Donnelly who now holds an 8-1 lead over rival Neel Kashkari in the latest Field Poll is unapologetic for delivering a call to action when he made a 2006 speech that likened actions against illegal immigration to warfare.

Donnelly addressed reports Tuesday in the Los Angeles Times, which detailed a 2006 speech on illegal immigration that he delivered in Temecula as a founder of the California Minutemen group.
