So the woman throws a shoe at Hillary and she's already out of jail.

They haven't even decided if they are going to press charges.

Okay. I looked at the video and what I saw was a blond woman who was allowed to run up to the stage to throw the show and, then tried to bolt out of the auditorium. She stop running when two security guys stood in her way. The article claims that the security people had spotted her and tried to stop her, but she slipped away to throw the shoe.

This is what I was thinking: If this was a black woman or a latina trying to get through a sea of Republicans to throw a shoe at a Republican politician, they would have been tackled. T-A-C-K-L-E-D. Brought down and cuffed and hauled away. But this woman gets the kid glove treatment not just once, but twice. And now they don't even know if they're going to press charges.

This is just lop-sided justice.

Woman who threw shoe at Hillary Clinton released from jail

(Reuters) - A woman who threw a shoe at Hillary Clinton as the former U.S. secretary of state was delivering a speech in Las Vegas has been released from jail, and faces possible charges after her arrest for disorderly conduct, officials said on Friday.

Alison Michelle Ernst, 36, was released on her own recognizance just before midnight on Thursday, said Tess Driver, a spokeswoman for the Clark County District Attorney's Office. Ernst has not been formally charged but is scheduled to appear in court on June 24, Driver said.

Clinton was giving a speech on Thursday at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas when a protester who was not a ticketed guest and was being approached by Secret Service agents threw a shoe at her, said Secret Service spokesman George Ogilvie

Video news footage showed Clinton, 66, a potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, move to crouch as a flying object flew past her on stage.

Hillary would probably like it to just go away.

Apparently she cancelled an event in San Diego because of a planned protest.

I suspect she has some mental health issues that can most likely be kept under control with proper medication etc.

It's the same with all the others.

Pies, glitter, silly string and also shoes...

Brief flash in the news. Mild charges or none at all and the world spins on...

Throwing a shoe at someone is a crime, but it is not the sort of crime that people serve long sentences for. They could get a misdemeanor conviction, but throwing a shoe at someone and missing is not a felony.

the incident happened in Iraq at a news conference. They probably dole out harsher punishments in an Iraqi court.

If you threw a shoe at shrub, you'd be at an offsite black CIA prison. Trash a dem, that's fine.

Everything now seems to be protected except for actual speech. Protesters still get run off to chain link cages when they want to speak up.
