Any experience with diminished value

I was in an auto accident a month ago. There were no injuries, the most important part ... however, my pretty blue mustang took a solid smack. It is now repaired and everything is getting back to normal. It is a 2013 V6 Mustang loaded out pretty nicely. The repair bill was $8500, and it was repaired at the dealership where it was purchased.

The insurance company is offering me $3000 diminished value, this seems a little low.

Anyone have any experience with this, or any thoughts?

Was the repair covered by the insurance?

There's no question that a car that has been in an accident and was repaired has diminished value. These days, everyone wants to see the CarFax report before they buy a used car.

No matter how good the repair, it was repaired after a crash.

You could dispute the amount and maybe get a little more, but you might not succeed.
