Bill O’Reilly asks John Calipari how he coaches all those crazy black kids

The Fox News host can't understand how the college basketball coach handles (certain) kids these day

ELIAS ISQUITH

Bill O’Reilly may know more about African-Americans than he used to — he gets now that they don’t all scream profanities when dining out, for example — but that doesn’t mean he no longer has questions.

Indeed, the Fox News star’s enduring curiosity was on full display Monday night when he had University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari on to discuss his new book as well as the many, many difficulties of maintaining order and basic standards of human decency when handling a bunch of young men who were raised on that “hip-hop stuff.”

Throughout the segment, O’Reilly peppered Calipari with questions that were rather unsubtle in their unstated racist premises. Calipari did his best to implicitly reject the assumptions embedded in O’Reilly’s questions, but the championship-winning coach was obviously uncomfortable throughout a segment that could be reasonably boiled down to O’Reilly asking, repeatedly, “What’s with these black kids today and how do I get them off my lawn?”

You can check out O’Reilly making an ass of himself below, via Fox News:

It's similar to the techniques used in controlling a gang of belligerent drunken Irishmen, Bill Tom Ripley Apr 2014 #1

John Calipari is an asshole. Ahhhh OK I feel better so I can probably say this now.... the look on his face is fantastic, almost a WTF is the matter with you. Calipari handled that pretty well but he probably should have expected it going in.

I guess if you are rich and powerful enough you can get away with blatant racism like that and not be called out for it.

ESPN Radio commentators were stunned by O'reilly's behavior.
