Elizabeth Warren: "A Fighting Chance" Review --New Yorker
This newest "New Yorker" has a wonderful review of Elizabeth Warren's new book "A Fighting Chance."
I was impressed with her history which identifies with people of the middle class, and especially women.
The article explains her passion for correcting procedures which lead to personal bankruptcy. "Having a child is now the single best predictor that A woman will end up in financial collapse....Between 1981 and 2001, the number of women filing for bankruptcy rose more than six hundred per cent."
I could enthusiastically support this woman for President in the next election. I fear that the "inevitability" of Hillary Clinton's candidacy
is a threat to this.
Because of Hillary's support for the disastrous Iraq War, I would never feel want her as a candidate although, of course, I would vote for her against any likely Republican.
