Highly recommend Matt Taibbi's new book.

"Divide- American Injustice in the Age of the Wealth Gap"

Chapter 4 alone about Barclays take over of Lehman Brothers is incredible and infuriating. The lack of holding anyone in executive positions in the banks accountable for the 2008 meltdown will be President Obama's greatest failure.

Taibbi is an excellent writer. We need a hundred more like him in this age of plutocracy.

Under the bus with him!

Whether or not what he said was correct or not was beside the point, really.

I personally think that even if a fact or two was incorrect, that's no reason to throw a decent journalist under the bus, especially one who talks about the bankers the way this one does.

Has done a lot of good in a lot of areas during his time in office but in the area of him and his AG holding banks accountable for their actions that lead to the 2008 meltdown will IMO go down as one of the biggest disappointments of his administration. By not holding anyone accountable there is no downside to that behavior, you can bet that it will happen again.

I mean they trip all over the criminals and can't seem to arrest a single one.

Less funny is the consequences of that theft for the rest of us. (but I guess an honest politician and those that work for them need to stay bought to stay honest)
