Family remembers 'hero' who pushed girl out of truck's path

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. -- Shane Savoy's family finds comfort knowing their loved one is being hailed a hero.

"He was definitely a hero ... I couldn't see a tragedy happening to Shane in any other way," said Shane's cousin Cathy Jo.

Cathy Jo said she still can't believe her cousin is gone.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office said he was hit by a pick-up truck Friday while walking to the bus stop on Ranchette Road.

According to reports, he pushed 17-year-old Elin Cornett out of the truck's way, saving her life.
