Cat attacks owners - sends three to the hospital

Roseville, California (KXTV) - Three Roseville family members were taken to the hospital Tuesday night after their cat ferociously attacked them.

The year-and-a-half-old cat - named Khat - clawed the face of its owner's sister, as well as the arms and legs of its owner's mother. It caused deep gashes on the legs of its owner's 10-year-old brother. The three were treated for superficial wounds.

"The cat ran and jumped on his leg and was like, attached to him," the owner said. She and her family asked not to be identified.

"He's never been an aggressive cat, he's never been mean, he just flipped," she said.

The family called Roseville Police, who typically direct calls about animals to the city's animal control department. Animal control was closed, however, so the call was directed to the Roseville Fire Department.

He probably hangs out with a conceal carry smoking pitbull at olive garden playing grand theft auto. Would explain a lot

"Just flipped", my fat ass. Got to wonder what those kids were doing to upset the cat in the first place.

Cats don't go to the nuclear option if they can avoid it. They'd much rather hide.

Elderly mother and mother.
I doubt they were all involved in abusing the cat.
Cat could have been sick and just went aggressive.

It can happen

This isn't a case of the cat "just went aggressive." When cats get aggressive, there is always something else going on. Either it's sick, or somehow provoked, like the recent case in Oregon where people called 911 because their cat became overly aggressive. The cat got blamed, but we eventually found out what really happened, and it wasn't the cat that was the problem. It was the toddler was pulling the cat's tail, and the kid's dad, who kicked it because it swiped at the kid for pulling its tail. I'd be pissed off, too, if I were that cat. These people probably tried to handle an upset cat, which is why there were that many scratched up people. Who knows what set off this poor cat, but I suspect we will find that out eventually.

I hate using the word( pet) my Husky is my companion not my pet.

To get back on subject if the case was that the animal was sick they do give us signs and try to tell us.
You just have to watch and pay attention to subtle changes sometimes .

They could be sick. They could be provoked in ways we don't understand because we're not cats, dogs, snakes, whatever. The same goes for being sick. I just wish people would consider that their animal is sick, rather than angry or aggressive for no reason. I just know this latest incident will be another episode of "My Cat from Hell", where it should really be called "My Human Companion from Hell"--as all the MCFH episodes are.
