Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America
Moms Demand Action was founded by stay-at-home mom Shannon Watts on December 15, 2012, in response to the devastating shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The organization quickly flourished into a leading force for gun violence prevention, with chapters in all 50 states and a powerful grassroots network of moms that has successfully effected change at the local, state and national level. In December 2013, Moms Demand Action partnered with Mayors Against Illegal Guns to unite a nationwide movement of millions of Americans working together to change the game and end the epidemic of gun violence that affects every community. ,,,,
American mothers are an important voice that, when harnessed, will wield significant change. We may be accidental activists, but we are the wave of change in America. For more information on joining, volunteering, finding a local chapter or donating, please go to www.momsdemandaction.org. We can be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/MomsDemandAction and on Twitter at @momsdemand.

Americans Against the Teaparty
“The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.” - John Kenneth Galbraith

Americans Against The Tea Party is a group committed to exposing the Tea Party’s lies, violence, racism, ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, and corporatist fascist efforts to subvert our democratic process.

We support freedom and equal rights for all Americans, income equality and closing the gap between ultra-rich and poor. We believe that a strong vibrant middle-class is essential to a thriving economy and that the American People should come first in terms of policy and legislation -- especially the young, elderly, weak, sick, vulnerable, marginalized, and exploited.

And with your help, we are organizing to defeat Tea Party/GOP candidates on ballots everywhere!

Southern Poverty Law Center
The Southern Poverty Law Center is dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society. Using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy, the Center works toward the day when the ideals of equal justice and equal opportunity will be a reality.
Founded by civil rights lawyers Morris Dees and Joseph Levin Jr. in 1971, the SPLC is internationally known for tracking and exposing the activities of hate groups. Our innovative Teaching Tolerance program produces and distributes – free of charge – documentary films, books, lesson plans and other materials that promote tolerance and respect in our nation’s schools.

We are based in Montgomery, Ala., the birthplace of the modern civil rights movement, and have offices in Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Fla., and Jackson, Miss.
