Mr. Hedges has indeed asked the right questions, directly and succinctly.

Unfortunately, I believe we all know the answers to them.

And then that we should look only forward as to Bush and everyone else for those 8 years. And that no other nation should bring charges, either. And then sent him off with Bubba on a goodwill mission to Haiti. And then...I could go on, but what is the point.

over and over again that we are no longer a democracy. I agree. This country has become an embarassment and has set all of us back a hundred years in attitudes. Greed rules. Think back to the bailout of the banks during the great recession. You didn't see that happen for those in trouble with their home loans. Sad, sad, sad.

'ignorance is bliss' and too many people remain willfully ignorant so that they don't have to face the reality of what we have become... a nation where too many refuse to let us progress...

so many of us know and it is so overwhelming to keep fighting... but keep fighting we must

educate, keep talking to people, write letters, run for office, be loud about what is right and good...

If we do not fight, or at least state our opinion, then we are part of the problem. We let the plutocracy/oligarchy run the country to the detriment of our lives. Do they care? No. Why should they? They have all their people in place that will give them everything they desire. That is why this fight is so important. It doesn't hurt to look up and see who your representative is getting donations from. The source of those donations is the one who is being represented, not you. Democrat or Republican, our congress is corrupt and it will be difficult to do anything about it.

A Capitalist Nation that worships the wealthy. It certainly is NOT a Christian Nation because Jesus made it perfectly clear how dangerous riches are to your immortal soul. A true Christian Nation would follow Jesus's teachings.

I agree with him.

Oligarchy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oligarchy (from Greek ὀλιγαρχία (oligarkhía); from ὀλίγος (olígos), meaning "few", and ἄρχω (arkho), meaning "to rule or to command&quot [1][2][3] is a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with a small number of people. These people could be distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, education, corporate, or military control. Such states are often controlled by a few prominent families who typically pass their influence from one generation to the next, but inheritance is not a necessary condition for the application of this term.

Throughout history, oligarchies have been tyrannical (relying on public obedience and/or oppression to exist) or relatively benign. Aristotle pioneered the use of the term as a synonym for rule by the rich,[4] for which the exact term is plutocracy.
