I think he does it on purpose. He seems to have a very strong confidence in himself and could care less what others think. I think others should do the same. Too many worry about what others think about him. Sure he is an asshole, but he doesn't care. Call someone else an asshole and they will feel horrible. Just depends on your complex whether you feel ferior or inferior. Each person is different.

are generally sociopaths or narcissists. The reason they don't worry or care about what others think of them is they don't worry or care about others, period. Not really an admirable quality. You are right that he probably revels in it - he gets to be the center of attention whenever he opens his yap and it feeds his need for narcissistic supply.
