Sharp Drop in Homicides in Denver So Far This Year
The number of Denver homicides in the first three months of this year fell sharply compared with the same period last year, city officials said Friday.
Eight homicides have been reported so far during the first quarter, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner. That compares with 14 in the first quarter of 2013, representing a 43 percent drop.
Last year was the highest first-quarter total dating to 2009.
The lowest number of first-quarter homicides in the past five years was six, which was in 2009.
The number of homicides typically rises in summer months and during the winter holidays.

Cause from what I hear that would drop crime like a rock 
Oh wait...you mean they addressed something where before everyone doing it was a criminal? And stopped turning everyday people into jail birds, reducing stress, broken families, life long criminal records hampering employment chances, etc and so on.
Hunh, who knew that removing prohibition would actually lead to lesser crime in other areas? Heck they might need less cops, court clerks, money for war on drugs, less money for private prisons (ooh I bet they will be hitting up congress soon to keep the money flowing - watch out pot smokers or some will judge you all by the few and call for more and more laws).
