Ukraine Crisis, Middle East To Top Sunday Talk Shows
WASHINGTON The worsening crisis in Ukraine and the breakdown of peace talks between Israeli and Palestinian officials will dominate discussions on the Sunday talk shows.
The United States and other members of the Group of Seven countries have announced plans to impose sanctions against Russia as early as Monday, citing the Kremlin's continued support of separatist actions in Ukraine. The deepening crisis in Ukraine and other international events have intruded into President Obama's four-nation Asia tour, which took him to Malaysia on Saturday for talks on trade and security.
In the Middle East, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suspended already-faltering peace talks after the leadership of the Palestinian Authority announced plans to reconcile with Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza and does not recognize Israel's right to exist.
Also expect a bit of 2016 presidential speculation Sunday. Two potential White House candidates are taking to the airwaves to promote new books, and a third discusses state government policies and the National Rifle Association.
