Right hereWhen we here about great social programs, free university, free healthcare, etc. etc. this is why. If the bad men come, Uncle Sugar will be there to take care of business. This is why (right or wrong) our defense spending is out of control Its not just the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, all of Europe, I'm pretty sure we have an agreement with the penguins in Antarctica as well.

(1,975 posts)As a side note I transported a few of our Navy Dolphins back in the late 90's. Wasn't allowed to talk about it for the longest time.

(27,993 posts)It was interesting to say the least. It was about an hour and a half flight to Damn Neck, VA. and we weren't allowed to go near the dolphins or their trainers.
But as with most things Marines aren't supposed to do..well we had a pretty interesting conversation with the trainers/divers. The dolphins had better chow and living quarters than we did.
