of institutional racism. Especially if that is seen in multiple examples taken from a society.

You don't have a clear understanding of how "institutionalized racism" differs from the everyday, garden variety overt racism.

This could be a learning experience for you.

It may have a disproportionate effect on minorities and women, but it has its origins in classism. Minorities and women are more affected because they tend to be in the lower paying jobs. It is more complicated than just race.

as low wages disproportionately affect minorities. All too many republicans are racist pigs, Paul Ryan being but one example, imo.

it's always been successful in the past. In our resort area, most small businesses already pay above minimum wage because it's good business. I did the same when I owned a business. If they can do it, the corporations must be forced to do it.

Opposing a raise in the minimum wage is tainted with racism and sexism. That pretty clear, in my opinion.

Connect the increase in the minimum wage more closely to the increase in productivity. $15.50 per hour, effective within 1 year.

The R's don't care whether the slaves are black or white. In fact, they might prefer white ones, but they definitely want cheap labor. If I were more cynical, I might accuse them of actually wanting a return of slavery, which is ironic given that the Republican Party destroyed slavery in the first place.

Slaves are valuable property and need to be cared for and trained.
The desperately impoverished however, will fight each other for table scraps.
