First look at Satan statue

Last edited Sat May 3, 2014, 01:08 PM - Edit history (1)

Oklahoma statehouse has 10 Commandments on its lawn, so Satanic worshipers want equal time and here's the monument they want to erect. Kinda neat. Even cooler, they needed 20k for the statue to be created and got 30k rather quickly and the organizers were surprised by the quickness of the donations.

The group putting it up says that for every one that gets demolished, they'll immediately recast two new ones just like it.

I think it's kind of nifty.

It's the "goat god" from ancient Europe.

Satan himself is never described in detail in the Bible.
All the depictions of Satan are from the Middle Ages, when "Christian leaders" decided that Satan had to look like "Pan."

My image of Satan would be a handsome man or a beautiful woman who are charming to the nth degree. But I grant this one thing it will certainly upset some fundy evangelical wackos.

For some hard shell Southern Baptists this guy might fit the bill.

Or better yet in bronze
