OP. Just like the Gary and Steve living down the street from you doesn't destroy your marriage..... men are not unhappy when their wives do well in the heartland. But the GOP will try and teach the base this is so. And, unfortunately, the base will follow and vote against Hillary Clinton and them and their wives best interest.

Clinton. They have quite a ways to go before they can get all democrats and all republicans attacking each other on sexism issues. Right now the antifeminists are a portion of the GOP. But they have to get all of them onside. Thus the meme than alpha women hurt men.

I have spoke to several conservative women from time to time and that they feel their party protects them as women. So it seems like it is working.

there has been a 6 month period in which I made more than my wife ... She had retired and was doing consulting work; before she got a real job and the promotion that followed soon afterward. (and if she had put her heart into pursuing the consulting work, it would have been less than 2 months, as she turned down 2 contracts).

And guess what? ... I ain't mad!
