who in the GOP knows better (but are intentionally misleading people), and who are the genuine believers. But MB sort of strikes me as a mix of both; she is incredibly gaffe-prone, yet simultaneously never appears on any places like MSNBC to debate her views with the other side.

She married a "pray away the gay" guy.

There's also a thing where people are so dumb they don't think engaging in wildly ridiculous hyperbole or baseless, vile accusations is actually a thing you aren't supposed to do.

Like the Tennessee state senator who just compared signing people up for the ACA to trains shipping people to Nazi deathcamps -- did you see his reaction? He really thinks that's a valid comparison.

Because he's stupid and doesn't understand the difference between an analogy, hyperbole, and a grotesque, filthy slander.

Bachmann's like that.
