Now they are claiming DC will be destroyed with a drone strike.
I'd be willing to bet the whole thing will be nothing more than that rally last year, where a couple hundred people showed up, and half were taping the rally for their blogs, or that trucker's rally that had a couple dozen at most.
And then Faux "news" will run 2 or 3 year old videos of an Occupy march and claim that thousands showed up for the rally.
Operation American Spring Organizer Worries Obama Might Launch A Drone Strike On Washington D.C.
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Wednesday, 5/7/2014 2:15 pm
A spokesman for Operation American Spring, whose participants hope to oust President Obama from office with their upcoming Washington, D.C. rally, is now claiming that the president plans to attack the event with a drone strike. Terry Trussell, Operation American Springs chief of staff, told Patriot Nation host Mark Hoffmann last week that organizers are expecting the unexpected, including a drone strike. He noted, though, that a drone strike could reflect negatively on the administration: When the government destroys the capital just to get rid of us, I think its going to work to their discredit.

(14,400 posts)I was following the Facebook page from those nutjobs leading up to it. Oh they were so pumped up about heading to DC to stick it to Obama, there were going to be at least a million of them. Then slowly, as the "rally" got closer the guy running it started to lose people that had "committed" to bringing people down and the number of idiot...oops supporters whining that they just couldn't get away started to climb.
He was so fucking desperate in the last week that if I wasn't laughing my ass off I may have actually felt a pang of pity for the stupid asshole.

(182,773 posts)The two mostly valuable things to truckers are time and gas. They are going to drive all the way across the country (unless a job just happens to all of them near DC) spend their time and burn useless gas for THAT??!!
The news articles were purely free publicity and it was still a miserable failure.

That should bring out a large turn out.

That sounds like a poorly written line from a really cheesy B-movie.

(8,434 posts)I've been thinking of a short day trip to DC for a visit to the air and space meseum anyway. I would love to stop by and get pictures for some true documentation. I know fox will zoom in on a dozen people close together and claim thousands showed up.
(It may be at your link, but on my phone it just doesn't read easily)
