(81,209 posts)I love political cartoons. They perfectly encapsulate ideas, concepts, philosophies, outrages, and more. Sometimes you can hit home, harder, with an insightfully-drawn picture. Especially since most Americans process information visually. A picture truly is worth AT LEAST a thousand words. Or, hopefully, wake-up calls!
It'd be neat to see your work. Where can we find it? And/or could you post a piece or two here, by any chance?

I wonder what names McConnell calls Obama when he's out of control.

(886 posts)The effects of global climate change are a part of the US's long term defense strategy, so the DoD doesn't consider it a hoax. Clearly, people are being payed off to lie...I never imagined the Republican Party could become this corrupt and contemptible. They never would have without the Fox News Channel. I'm aghast.

(17,099 posts)In my little movie, Obama closed out his presidency with a fiery blockbuster speech to the people of the future.
He told the people to reflect on the conditions they see around them- drought, destruction, war, starvation, and calamity.
He laid out, in forceful and powerful terms, all the things Republicans did to create this dystopian future.
He laid out the sabotage, the betrayal, the treason and treachery, the lies and mendacity of the Republican world.
He laid the blame for the conditions of that future at their feet.
He itemized the efforts and proposals he and Democrats had made to change the hellbound course we were on.
And he made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that Republicans were to blame for the calamitous devastation that future populations endured.
You don't have to point out Obama this Democrats that "they're all complicit" millionaire congressmen kabuki theatre. I know all that
I'd still like to see Obama's "Speech to the Future" as a powerful, enduring, and historical document. A marker from a point in history.

(12,541 posts)there are enough willfully ignorant people (aka bigots) to get cretins like McConnell elected and put in powerful positions so as to cause great harm to the vast majority for the benefit of the wealthy few.

(291 posts)set back during the height of the dust bowl in 1936. The start of this year is the driest ever. I can't even grow a decent dandelion. It truly is scary. I think that is why they want meteorologists to talk about Benghazi. Give those rednecks a gun and then scare them, they want to be sure they point it at someone else.
