CNN poll: 61 percent want to keep health care law as is or make some changes.

As you may know, a bill that made major changes to the country's health care system became law in 2010. Which of the following statements best describes your view of what Congress should do in the future: (RANDOM ORDER) Congress should leave the health care law as it is, Congress should make some changes to the health care law in an attempt to make it work better, Congress should repeal the health care law and replace it with a completely different system or Congress should repeal the health care law and go back to the system we had before it was enacted.

Leave health care law as is 12%
Make some changes 49%
Repeal and replace 18%
Repeal, go back to original 20%

Would you describe the new health care law as a success or as a failure, or would you say it is too soon to tell?

May 2-4 2014
Success 12%
Failure 39%
Too soon to tell 49%

Nov. 18-20 2013
Success 8%
Failure 39%
Too soon to tell 53%

Note: From Nov. 2013 to May 2014, "success" went up by the same points (4 percent) as the drop in "too soon to tell."

Also:

"success"/'leave health care law as is" - 12%
"make some changes"/"too soon to tell" - 49%
"failure" roughly mirrors (39 percent) the total who say "repeal and replace"/"repeal, go back to original" (38 percent.

Breakout by demographic.

18- 34
Leave health care law as is 10%
Make some changes 56%
Repeal and replace 17%
Repeal, go back to original 18%

Democrats
Leave health care law as is 26%
Make some changes 63%
Repeal and replace 3%
Repeal, go back to original 7%

Summary: 66 percent of 18 - 34 year olds and 89 percent of Democrats want to "leave health care law as is"/"make some changes"
