Estranged Wife Says Donald Sterling May Have Dementia

CATHERINE THOMPSON – MAY 12, 2014, 8:17 AM EDT

Shelly Sterling, the estranged wife of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, thinks her husband may be starting to suffer from dementia.

"I -- in my opinion, I think he -- it's the onset of dementia," Sterling told ABC News' Barbara Walters on Sunday.

She said that after Donald Sterling heard the tape of him telling his personal assistant V. Stiviano not to take photos with black people or bring them to basketball games, he told her "I don't remember saying that. I don't remember ever saying those things."

"I said, 'Well, this is the tape.' And he says, 'Hmm. I don't remember it,'" Sterling added, as quoted by ABC News. "That's when I thought he had dementia."

He didn't mean any of the vile things he said. He's not a racist. He suffers a medical condition. One that plants other people's racist ideas in his head. See? Not a racist.

...as a slumlord.
Mrs Sterling is desparately trying to hang on to her 1/2 interest in the Clippers. The NBA is entitled to force the sale of the team, the agreement owners sign (even minority owners) with the league permits this. If the Sterlings refuse to sell the team, they are welcome to leave the NBA and join another league, like the CBA.

... about "getting" this person via his possible cognitive decline, via his bought 'n paid for "girlfriend" trying to screw over his wife, who is trying to screw her over regarding the cars, houses, etc. that he gave said purchased "girlfriend."

Apparently the NBA had nothing to say about Sterling's decades of racial discrimination in his real estate holdings or his record-setting fine for that discrimination.

This is how we make important statements about racism in this country. Rich guy throws black people out of housing; buys NBA team, keeps young women as pets -- okey doke. OLD rich guy gets taped saying stupid things having only to do with his stupid attitudes -OMIGOD SHITSTORMS ARE HAPPENING!

Cliven Bundy similarly sounds like he's losing his faculties, and we similarly disposed of him due to just incredibly dumb old-man think type racism. Whereas he also is leading a seditionist armed insurrection against the United States government, based on a related, but different set of stupid ideas, about which we have done basically nothing.

So while, we're all patting ourselves bloody on the back for putting down two ancient, doddering racists, real discrimination and active ideological insanity goes basically unchecked.

Hooray, us.
