I heard from a friend of mine on the east side of Dallas, she said sirens had not gone off. Taht was about an hour ago, have not heard back.

4. central Dallas not so bad

It's been raining for a while and there was some thunder, but all the warnings I've seen are about flooding, not severe/tornado.... The stuff that blew through a few days ago was much worse.

7. Friday night's Vice show showed Texas drought.

I was stunned.
Even more stunned to hear that fracking was going on, using all that water, despite the drought.

I hope you guys get a good long rainy season like we finally got over here in Ala.
