Donald Sterling Doubles Down On The Racism In Anderson Cooper Interview

Banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling said Magic Johnson isn't a good role model for the children of Los Angeles, making the comment to CNN in the same interview where he also asks for forgiveness for the racist comments he made in leaked audio recordings that surfaced last month.

In the interview with Anderson Cooper that aired Monday night on CNN, Sterling said Johnson, who is HIV positive, is not "a good example for the children of Los Angeles."

"He's got AIDS," Sterling said. "... Is this someone we want to respect and tell our kids about? I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background."

Immediately following the conclusion of Game 4 between the Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets, NBA commissioner Adam Silver released a statement, once again apologizing to Johnson on behalf of the league.

"I just read a transcript of Donald Sterling's interview with Anderson Cooper and while Magic Johnson doesn't need me to, I feel compelled on behalf of the NBA family to apologize to him that he continues to be dragged into this situation and be degraded by such a malicious and personal attack," the statement read. "The NBA Board of Governors is continuing with its process to remove Mr. Sterling as expeditiously as possible."

My cousin who worked in a healthcare setting contacted HIV when he got pricked with a needle. I hate when people think you have to do something bad to get HIV. Donald Sterling has a damn mistress and he doesn't seem too concerned about her sleeping around with other men and maybe contacting a STD, just don't bring them to his house. Stupid fuck.

He was sobbing about how he made just one mistake in all those years, and wasn't he entitled to a break or a do-over or something? Oh, cry me a river, Donald. The Mississippi times the Amazon of rivers!

I wonder if there are any former employees of Mr. Sterling who got cashiered for failing to get him his drink quickly enough? Or who got fired without warning right before Christmas? Or who unknowingly committed some mortal sin against Mr. Sterling and found themselves out on the street and black-balled in the community?

And none of them was in line to get a half billion dollar payout.

So, Donald Sterling? We've never met. We don't travel in the same circles. I don't know you personally at all. But fuck you. From the bottom of my heart, fuck you. Just disappear.

I'm wondering if this is a new thing for him--just going on and on about shit he needs to shut up about.

(I'm not defending him but I have seen people with dementia say some wild shit that they wouldn't have said when all their faculties were working properly.)
