TOWSON, Md. -- A driver of a small box truck has barricaded himself inside WMAR-TV's building after plowing his vehicle through the building, police said. The incident prompted a nearby school to be placed on lockdown.

A box truck drove through the front doors of the television station at 6400 York Road in Towson just before noon Tuesday.

The first call to WMAR came in at 11:45 a.m. for a disturbance with a man banging on a door trying to get in and within minutes, a second call came in for a truck in the lobby, according to Baltimore County police's Twitter feed.
