Bumper Stickers of Truth

I have decided there are too many people out there who don't get the truth in their news. I think most of them drive, so I have started a one woman education program I call bumper stickers of truth. Whether it changes anything is not really the point, if they cause just one person to think or become curious it's a win in my book. My first sticker says this:

Anytime you vote REPUBLICAN,
you vote against your own best interest
unless you are a CORPORATION or BILLIONAIRE

I have other things I want to say and will do so but for now I'll use this one.

I have during the last years done this on the tailgate of my truck. I stopped after our current President got elected.
But I think it's time to gear back up.
I'm a sign maker so I make them myself, and can make them big.

8. Not having a yard in which to display yard signs,

my little van is kind of a rolling front yard. I, too, make many of my own stickers.

Most popular one last go round was for a state legislative race. There was our guy, running against a very melodramatic fundiepublican who is well known in the area. The sticker I came up with was a simple ballot, our guy's name in blue, and "Elmer Gantry" in red, big check mark next to our guy's name. Happily, our guy won. His opponent is still trying to figure out that bumper sticker . . .

Why would you vote for them when they vote against YOU!

11. But you CAN make your own.

There are multiple online places that will let you upload your own design, but some of them are pricey.

Or, you can do this: Print your design on a large shipping label (Avery has several sizes). Then cover the label with transparent Contact paper. Best to apply the sticker to a glass surface. The ones I've done have lasted a year or longer.

12. One thing you need to know about weasel rethuglicans.

They don't mind keying cars bearing bumper stickers they don't like. So if you are going to use them be sure to park where security cams can catch them in the act. It should be worthwhile if they can be identified and made accountable. Accountability to any RWer is like daylight to Dracula.

I drive an old MB SUV it is a tank and not real pretty so as long as they leave the glass and the tires alone I'll be good. I will be keeping an eye out just in case, though.
