After getting the August 6th PDB, W never returned to DC until after the terrorist attacks.

Now I knew he spent the month of August in Crawford, just never put it together that he ducked out for almost two more weeks.

1. Yeah, Obama could take almost his last year off and still not have taken as many vacation

days as W. I didn't realize how many days W was AWOL (his specialty) until the right started slamming Obama for taking vacation days.

4. After that PDB, Ashcroft stopped flying commercial and the entire Bush White House bailed

on the day of 9-11, almost all of the administration's leadership was absent. Condi was off buying shoes I think. No one was at the WH. Think about that. They were all elsewhere.
