(7,801 posts)Smaller dogs are more aggressive, too, according to some of the recent research that I never read the actual research about, just the headlines. Don't make your dachshund angry. Don't do it.

(56,582 posts)I can't get grits here in India... it's kind of becoming a nightmare. I have actually sourced hominy and ground it myself, but it's not the same. But, anyways, are they groceries, staples, what?

(17,111 posts)Groceries is a generic term in the South meaning 'stuff from the store.'
Have you tried asking for polenta? That's just a fancy name for grits that's used so people will eat it in expensive dishes.

(56,582 posts)Like, I know what makes grits grits, but to me "groceries" meant something green. Maybe that's a Mississippi thing? Like, meat wasn't "groceries".

(15,774 posts)I would tell you to check the military BX or PX and get some corn meal. Maybe they have a store associated with the Embassy that could help. Of course, when hubby or I go to India, I think I have a suitcase just packed with special request package food items. Maybe you could check out that.
BTW cute video and not that much of a shock. Bet the little one is the pack leader.

(9,001 posts)Rava is coarse enough that the mouth feel is similar to grits. Obviously the flavor is not the same, but load it up with some butter and salt and it tastes great!
It's not like "Cream of Rice" at all. (just to head off the question)
