Jeb Bush (R-Idiot) Tells Poor People to Stop Mooching

Jeb Bush demonstrated a serious lack of knowledge and understanding about poverty at a fundraiser with some of New York’s wealthiest conservatives.

Speaking to a crowd of people in black-tie attire, he praised Paul Ryan’s ideas about how to get out of poverty, saying, according to Politico:

“When it comes to the American family, Paul Ryan has it right. A loving family taking care of their children in a traditional marriage will create the chance to break out of poverty far better, far better than any of the government programs that we can create.”

So basically, get married, stay married, and take care of your children, and that’s how you bring your family out of poverty. Then you won’t have to mooch off of the rest of us married-with-children, hardworking Americans. Bush, and Ryan, imply that traditional family values will eliminate poverty here, despite our current dearth of good jobs and quality education in poor areas.

I mean history basically says there was no poverty until traditional marriage ended. Right? Sure I have no idea what traditional marriage actually means, history is one long recorded event of poverty even in the most pious Christian Nation, and until government programs were create poverty was the norm. Jeb confirms Republicans vision of the future is the 19th century (if we are lucky). "You will be born poor, live poor, and die poor with no dream of a better life." JEB 2016.

4. There is a direct relationship between marriage and wealth in America

Couples who get and stay married can have as much as four times the wealth of their single or divorced peers. Experts say that's not only because they can combine their salaries and share expenses once they get married.

Spouses are better off because of a combination of factors, starting with who is getting married these days. “It’s more educated, more affluent and also more religious Americans that tend to get married in the first place,” said Bradford Wilcox, director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia.

Once they are married, the couples also are able to take advantage of economies of scale – anything from buying just one dishwasher to relying on one another’s health insurance. That allows them to build wealth more quickly than their peers who are single, divorced or living together romantically.

Smock said those advantages go beyond just sharing expenses. People who are married also are able to divide up responsibilities in financially beneficial ways

2. These people need to be dropped off somewhere

Somewhere that they don't have access to their bank accounts, cell phones or contacts with people they know. They need to be dropped of with 224.00 in their pockets. That is one weeks pay based 28 hours at better than minimum wage (a whopping 8 dollars an hour). Then lets see how they feel after their first 6 months.
