The Dems are so lame. No matter what they propose on infrastructure the GOP will stop it. The Dems seem to be too afraid to tell the real truth about what the GOP plans to do if it gets power.
You get so tired of the ineffectual political speak and obtuse verbiage. Why not be blunt and direct with these traitorous assholes? People respect a fighter. Until the Dems get direct and nasty they will get little respect. The intellectual reasonable approaches does not work on a nation of idiots. Give them verbal blood and guts and they will begin to listen. Otherwise forget it.
The Grayson approach is what we need from Dems. Riling up these GOP bastards will expose them.

(19,964 posts)I hadn't even considered the selling off of our crumbling infrastructure as a reason it's being ignored. Think of all the people who could find jobs repairing bridges, roads, dams and the like. Oh well -- our pols will sell it off, probably much of it to interests outside the US. who can hire non-union labor to extend their profit margin.
Thanks for posting.

(19,972 posts)Could toll charges on interstate highways be the first step on "the road to privatization"? It wouldn't be hard to imagine that some lobbyists have convinced some politicians that the interstate highway system should follow the Internet model: first developed by the government and then privatized for profit.

(84,711 posts)when the People are desperate...bring in the Private Companies...and for YOUR TAX DOLLARS...they will fix it all for a small fee...which will grow over time bigger and bigger and bigger.
All is good. Desperate People are Willing to be Snookered! Privatize it All! Schools, Roads, Public Places, Water and all Access to things you need to survive.
"Let those who Can Afford it Prosper" when the fees keep going up" and they have you by the short hairs... Their investments will grow along with the Privateers.
