If MLK acted up the way Cliven Bundy has, if MLK had a militia show up like Bundy had we know the answer. Think about if Obama had the brain of Cheney things would be different. Also think about if Cheney and Bush had the brain of Obama tho gs would have been very different.

Though MLK met with a violent death he still preached and lived Non-Violence. No on would be calling them patriots or true Americans. The only media coverage they would get would probably be Fox pointing out what a threat they are and screaming reverse racism. And they could be twice as smart as the idiots in the white tea party (not saying much, my cats are smarter) and they still wouldn't be taken half as seriously.

I'd like to extend the question - what if the tea party were all women? Or Hispanic? Or Asian-American. Or god forbid, all native American? They have an actual right to talk about 'taking back their country'. No. The only way this many stupid people can be taken seriously is to be predominantly white. It's embarrassing for those of us who are white but NOT stupid.

What we need is an Einstein party. If you were stupid enough to be in, or at any time agree with, the tea party - you don't qualify for admission.

What Nye posted is the usual response for conservatives: The Tea Party is completely color blind, there is no racial trend, you can actually see black people there.

There's a guy on another board who in response to my statement that the movement is almost entirely puffy white males, ran pictures of black people at Tea Party rallies. This was two or three years ago. I'll bet if I looked, he used the same pictures.
