Here is the Naples News Article confirming it, but I am not going to pay to access it.
Instead I got it from the Twitter feed of one of Crist's advisors, Kevin Cate.

Fortunately, it seems Floridians have awakened to the horrors of the Scott admin.

(45,251 posts)it becomes apparent that they can no longer win an election in their own party.
Did they see the light, at long, long last? Or do they care only about themselves?
Felt the same way about Specter, who changed parties twice because he thought he personally would do better in another party. I am not hyped up about politicians who seem to care exclusively about furthering themselves. I think they just might sell out first. I would have had a hard time voting for him if I had been in Pennsy that year. I might have written in Sestak. Wouldn't have mattered anyway.

(45,251 posts)That said, I would still vote for Crist over Scott any day of the week. Because I do trust Scott--to do evil every time.

Crist is more a Democrat than many Florida leaders in the party. I like the other Democrat in the race but she is just a bleep on the scene right now.

(182 posts)true believer. The establishment Democrats in Florida are very weak, we could use some back bone and fire.

(45,251 posts)But, politicians whose guiding principle is looking out for themselves cannot be trusted. What if he decides next that it's in his best interest to play along with the other side, as did Specter? Then, the axe, bone and fire all get aimed the other way.
Still, if I were in Florida, I'd vote for him I guess. But, that is different from trusting hime.

Sorry, I'm just not gonna trust him.
