Palin: 'Hillary's Brain Is Off-Limits' To Dems, But My Son Wasn't

Sarah Palin mocked Democrats on Monday for crying foul over the suggestion that Hillary Clinton may have suffered a "traumatic brain injury" while there was no outcry over the conspiracy theories she faced about her biological relationship to her son.

"Hey! Hillary’s brain is off-limits! Leave her health records alone!" Palin wrote in a Facebook post. "Democrats are right – scouring records of a female candidate is just politics of personal destruction, and for the media to engage in it would be unfair, unethical, and absolutely UNPRECEDENTED. You can’t probe a woman like that because, well, it’s a war on women!"

Palin linked to articles from Politico and Salon about rumors that circulated when she was running for vice president suggesting she wasn't the real mother of her youngest son Trig, who has down syndrome.

"Goodness, no one credible would print lies, continually harass a candidate’s doctor, disrupt local hospital staff, or even offer to pay locals to give 'quotes' about her health records to be included in a 'research book' by a public university professor (your tax dollars at work?) which the candidate’s attorney will need to respond to," Palin wrote.

And obviously she forgets all of the vileness tossed at Chelsea Clinton during Bill's time in office if she thinks that she was somehow treated any worse by Dems than Dems were by Repubs.

Apart from a few board posts, Palin's son wasn't an issue in the campaign. Like much of the right, she's using a few isolated incidents to complain about some vast conspiracy (see the entire right's claim that there were loads of Bush=Hitler comparisons).

The results could be illuminating and should settle the question of the existence of any lies once and for all. Sarah ran around with the kid tucked under her arm...like an object or a prop. Downs kids benefit from early intervention...my neighbor who was 26 when she gave birth and knew her child had downs before by the way and chose to have him...had intervention during the first months and has continued for years...her child is a remarkable loving boy...his parents treat him like a person ...not a political object. Sarah could afford the best medical treatment money could buy and I bet she does not use it for this poor kid's benefit.

For the life of me I fail to understand how anyone can seriously think a person who will only voice her opinions through Facebook or FOX News is qualified to run for any level of political office.

Fortunately, the serious members of the national GOP seem to have realized that Sarah's not an asset in swinging undecided/moderate voters over to their side which has definitely lowered her cache outside of anything but deep red states.

Nice rewrite. I don't remember anyone screaming the topic was off-limits, just that A) it was baseless, and B) the cons didn't seem to care about brain damage when they voted in Reagan (Alzheimers) and Bush (addled by long-term alcohol and drug abuse).
