Because he always truly seems like such a nice guy and very witty. When I learned Tom Selleck was one, however long ago that was.... 15, 20 years ago... that was also a shock. Same goes for Kelsey Grammer. I know you pretty much only see Sajak on his show and in no other context, but I always liked him.
