Pat Sajak: "People Who Believe in Climate Change Are ‘Unpatriotic Racists"

Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak, whose Twitter feed is often a site of conservative views and “kids these days” grousing, signed off Monday night with his final word on climate change:

Pat Sajak
@patsajak
I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night.
7:38 PM - 19 May 2014

Sajak’s remarks came as California Governor Jerry Brown told CNN that climate change was lengthening California’s fire seasons.

Hence, now knowing his extremist confederate tendencies and I get a glimpse of the non-TV personality, he is a disappointment. But he's even more than that. He's now a dick too.

Pat just tweeted 17 minutes ago, as of this post: "As most of you know, original Tweet was intended to parody the name-calling directed at climate skeptics. Hyperbole"

Not like I have a dog in saving his image. He seemed to be welcoming enough to the lesbian and gay community contestants on his show, though. Guess it's just an act.

So what does Vanna have to say about global warming?

No rational person speaks of "global warming". That phrase went extinct in the 90's is response to the chowder heads saying "it was cold today, so..."

134. I never would have figured Pat Sajak for a right winger.

Because he always truly seems like such a nice guy and very witty. When I learned Tom Selleck was one, however long ago that was.... 15, 20 years ago... that was also a shock. Same goes for Kelsey Grammer. I know you pretty much only see Sajak on his show and in no other context, but I always liked him. I heard I guess a few years back that he was a repuke and just thought, 'what a waste!'. Apparently, Alex Trebek is a right winger too. Must be something in the water with Merv Griffin game show hosts. This stuff about 'unpatriotic racists' is just flat out bizarre and makes absolutely no sense. Sajak obviously has some latent seething bitterness in his soul about something or other and for whatever reason he's taking it out on people who believe in climate science.

I don't know if they still do it, but National Review used to host a ship cruise around New Year's featuring prominent conservatives. Sajak was always a headliner. Always. Just the way **I'd** like to spend my New Year's -- rubbing elbows that that asshat.

I know someone who's thinking about trying out for Wheel of Fortune (which, BTW, I consider to be one of the most annoying game shows in the history of TV) and I told him that if he should make it he should introduce himself on air as an unpatriotic climate change racist.

and Alex Trebek. Never liked their shows because I couldn't get past the smarmy gladfly hosts. I can usually detect a wingnut just based on his personality. The glazed over eyes, the fake smile, the exaggerated sincerity. My wing-dar always went off loud when I ever flip the channel to WOF.

I don't think you can fake his 'act'. Hence, I'd bet he's NOT a wing-nut by any stretch. But I don't know for sure.
