Corporation creates reams and reams of false evidence for trial

http://abovethelaw.com/2014/05/biglaw-firm-withdraws-citing-clients-systematic-falsification-of-evidence/

The linked article focuses on the law firm's reaction to learning of the falsification because it a law blog. But the real lede is how top leaders in corporations conspired to produce fraudulent documents. This is far more than just an individual who is amoral; this is a culture.

What is being taught in business schools?

I wish I could tell you that I'm shocked but I'm not. I used to do litigation and was appalled at the lies and withheld evidence. Judges didn't give a shit --- they didn't want to get involved in discovery disputes.

Please note that the fraud was detected because the other litigant had the resources to do a lot of digging to find something that led to cracking the fraud. Poor saps trying to sue huge corporations don't have those kinds of resources.
