Politicians who use prayer can expect skepticism: Editorial

The subject of praying pols arose last week, when Carteret Mayor Daniel Reiman mandated that a naturalization ceremony for 30 new citizens would begin with a nondenominational prayer. When Citizenship and Immigration Services balked, Reiman threw them out of City Hall. It caused a kerfuffle, and Reiman has since claimed that the feds’ decision "infringes on my First Amendment rights," and that he has support of his "God-fearing community" and the U.S. Supreme Court.

I about throw up in my mouth when I hear some RW gasbag exhort to the working class masses to solve their economic issues "through prayer". No doubt to keep them barking up the wrong tree for the marginalization of the working class.
