I know the shooter expressed extreme rage toward women, but it's curious that most of his victims were male, 3 specifically chosen to be killed. Misogyny may have fueled his depraved behavior, but his actions reveal additional issues, imo. Perhaps he was jealous of his roommates' successes with women, or maybe he was just full of hate, and took his anger out on whomever was available.

My impression was that aside from the rampant misogyny and elitism he had a very unrealistic and unhealthy obsession with a certain type of woman he wanted (in his mind that was a fetishized blonde haired white female). It puzzled him that other men, which he considered "brutes", had more luck than himself, the "magnificent gentlemen" in not being able to "get" this kind of woman.
