Zeke Miller ‏@ZekeJMiller 53s
WASHINGTON (AP) _ AP Source: Obama seeks to keep 9,800 US troops in Afghanistan after this year.

"Our troops are coming home. By the end of this year, our war in Afghanistan will finally come to end," the president said to applause yesterday. "

"After all the sacrifices we've made, we want to preserve the gains that you have helped to win and we're going to make sure that Afghanistan can never again, ever, be used again to launch an attack against our country," Obama declared Sunday, in Afghanistan.

It's nice that this news dribbles out the day after the fanfare of Obama talking about ending the war on his grand, surprise visit.

a nation of "war mongers". It seems that war has truly become peace. The "Support the Troops" propaganda by those that view anything that sells goods or creates jobs is far more important to most Americans than spending money here at home for our citizens. Our trend to "arm our enemies" has proven time and time again to come back and haunt us.
