A Pennsylvania man is under arrest for murder after calling police and telling them he killed a friend over a plate of a food.

LAS VEGAS -- The mother of an 11-year-old Las Vegas boy who was shot Sunday morning is under arrest on charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, child abuse with a deadly weapon and child abuse with mental harm, according to Metro Police.

Police arrested 31-year-old Shavon Aguilar, also known as Shavon Carrillo, shortly after the victim was shot.

Police say at around 5 a.m. Monday officers were called to a home near Vegas Drive and Decatur Boulevard on a report that a child had been shot. Officers found the 11-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to University Medical Center in extremely critical condition.
