It's time for a Constitutional Convention to clarify, alter and/or repeal the 2nd Amendment.
Because, as I read here recently, "When did 'a well-regulated militia' get twisted to mean an unregulated, well-armed populace?"

In conjunction with very cheap, doesn't-leave-the-premises-unfired ammo at licensed WELL REGULATED gun ranges where anyone could practice, it seems imminently fair.

Somebody unhinged/insane enough to commit murder isn't going to let money get in their way.

There is a special 10% tax on guns and ammo now that nobody makes a fuss about.

Bump it up too high and courts will strike it down using the same reasoning as they did with poll taxes- you can't use a tax to prohibit the exercise of a right.
