Stoning victim's husband 'a killer'

The husband of a woman stoned to death in Pakistan killed his first wife four years ago, police and relatives have said...

...Initially, many in Pakistan offered their condolences to Parveen's husband, Mohammed Iqbal, after the killing as the family apparently did not want her to marry him.

But today Zulfiqar Hameed, deputy inspector general for Punjab police, said that authorities arrested Iqbal for the October 2009 killing of his first wife, Ayesha Bibi. Mr Hameed could not offer details about the killing but said the case was withdrawn after a family member forgave him.

Under Pakistani law, those charged with a killing can see their criminal case dropped if family members of the deceased forgive them or accept so-called "blood money" offerings over the crime....

Wife #2 was married to him , and after the marriage, HER family demanded more money, which he could not afford to pay, so her own family murdered her.
thus he was blameless in the 2nd death, at least directly.
And she was 3 months pregnant.

The marriage enraged her family, Iqbal said, and they demanded he pay them 100,000 rupees (about $1,000) to let the couple stay alive.
Iqbal, a farmer in the village in Jurranwala, Punjab, didn't have the money.

The family had challenged Parveen's marriage to Iqbal in the courts, accusing him of abducting her.

The attack took place Tuesday as she was on her way from her lawyer's office to the high court in Lahore, where she was expected to make a declaration that she had married Iqbal of her own volition.

I'd also read earlier today that she was pregnant.

My point was that these women were being treated as disposable commodities. No doubt the man will simply get himself a third wife and dinner had better not be late. There are plenty more where the first two came from.

This is so beyond disgusting I don't have the words to adequately describe how I feel.

Pakistan doesn't have a government, they are run by vile creatures that kill innocents for pleasure.
