New York State has allowed Gay Marriage since last June. Yes, my lesbian daughter is getting married in NY.

NH voted against repeal, and Maryland just recently signed Marriage Equality into law. Since I have a lesbian daughter, I try to keep up on these things.

Sorry, forgot all about Connecticut! They have all had Marriage Equality for a few years also. My daughter has friends, living in NY, who married in Ct. in the past.

Cousins are allowed to marry if they are over a certain age, or at least one of the parties is irreversibly sterile.

In others, you can marry a first cousin if they are not a "double" cousin, i.e. a cousin on both sides.

states would OK first-cousin marriages as long as the man and woman aren't double cousins. Children born to parents who are first cousins could have serious health problems.

... except in rare cases of known hereditary disorders. Statistically, first cousins don't really share that many genes. It's mostly a cultural taboo.

knock yourself out. Are you in love? Blessings, get married. You just don't know how I wish I could make it so for any American that wanted to get married could and I am PISSED the hell off that the MORMON church thought it was their business to sneak into my beautiful state to dictate who you can love and commit your life to.

However, I got this thing about incest, can't see myself marrying a BLOOD RELATIVE!!! If that's your thang, well, what can I say?

We wouldn't want gay marriages to be a thing left up to the individual states. Of course, Obama wouldn't ever take such a vile, bigoted position on such a thing, would he?
