(75,480 posts)to describe universal health care? Pathetic. I have single payer universal health care known as Medicare. I also have health insurance to cover what Medicare doesn't pay for. Those cost me $300 a month. Also, fifty years of contributing to FICA came out of my paycheck. I hardly consider myself a freeloader. People, except those out of work or disabled, will all be paying for their health care in one way or the other. "Freeloader" my ass.

(3,991 posts)Right now in the ER, the guy comes in unconscious from the car accident, and the doctors are like "get him in to intensive care, stat!" But under Coultercare, they'd be twiddling their thumbs, asking the EMT's "what kind of car did you say it was? Would say that that was a model made after 2005? How much do you think it cost? What? His pants were cut away by the jaws of life? Well would you say that shirt looks like Macy's brand, or Target brand?" Trying to decide how to treat him.
