I have Medicare Part D and our state offers Medicaid through various private insurance companies.

If the SCOTUS repeals HCR because it forces us to buy insurance then will these other programs be effected also?

1. Part D is voluntary so unfortunately not (D is an unfunded boondoggle).

Medicaid is funded through taxes and the government can hire contractors to perform work so it should be okay as far as the funding source.

2. I was told I only had so long to sign up with an insurance company for Part D. I did not ask for one

And yes it is the government buying coverage for Medicaid. If Part D is fully paid for by government then that is the same. Do we pay anything for our own Part D?

3. Premiums and coinsurance. Sometimes a copay on generics and preferred meds.

Donut hole is still 50% too.

They give you a window to sign up or it goes up but you aren't required to take it. On an individual basis, you probably should to have drug coverage but it is unfunded and we pay big on the drugs.
