Danielle Deaver Denied Abortion Even as Uterus Crushed Fetus...

Danielle Deaver was 22 weeks pregnant when her water broke and doctors gave her a devastating prognosis: With undeveloped lungs, the baby likely would never survive outside the womb, and because all the amniotic fluid had drained, the tiny growing fetus slowly would be crushed by the uterus walls.

"What we learned from the perinatologist was that because there was no cushion, she couldn't move her arms and legs because of contractures," said Deaver, a 34-year-old nurse from Grand Isle, Neb. "And her face and head would be deformed because the uterus pushed down so hard."

*snip*

Just one month earlier, Nebraska had enacted the nation's first fetal pain legislation, banning abortions after 20 weeks gestation. So the Deavers had to wait more than a week to deliver baby Elizabeth, who died after just 15 minutes.

*snip*

Abortion opponents have hailed the law, and legislators in 12 other states -- Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Mexico and Oregon -- are considering similar restrictions.

as pain are simply not there until late in the last trimester. Even at that, they're very likely not switched on until after birth, as the birth process would likely send an infant into shock.

Besides, I think they could have presented a case that being crushed to death was considerably more painful than a quick end would have been.

They want children to be born into this world to suffer. They don't seem to care if it is 15 minutes or a lifetime. As long as they are born into this world and suffer, then it is quite all right with them if they die. It doesn't matter to them if it is from disease and pain or neglect and abuse, they hate children and want them to suffer.

And the real world consequences? Danielle Deaver and her husband get to go through this because some nincompoop legislators want to curry favor with their misogynistic masters who prefer to cower behind their crosses than look Ms. Deaver in the eye.

Fuckers. Every goddamned one of them.

It seems to me this is all about the legislators "right to know." They should be forced to examine everything. Of course according to Tom Corbett they would not have to look. They could just "shut their eyes." Bastards.

They should have their heads squeezed through a tube that is too small until it deforms the bones in their skulls.

I think that would be considered torture to the baby, but I'm guessing they (pro lifers) would love to hear me say that.

Seems to me this is cruel and unusual punishment. Why make the Deavers suffer even more. I wish all this jackanapes would go live somewhere else...like Mars.
