I sometimes get puzzled over whether the politicians and talking-heads themselves are liars or are ignorant. For example, there's Limbaugh and Rick Perry who routinely say stuff that one would argue is off-the-wall, but they get paid a bunch of money for pushing that agenda. At the same time, Hannity has been suggesting that the saner RWers get purged from the party following what happened in MS.

I think those who lead the rw charge are truly personality disordered. They lie, cheat, hate, stir up violence, and bask in the attention. The idiots that eat it up are weak-minded, selfish clouds, and probably have other "issues". Many rw individuals I've known have serious cognitive disturbances.

Conservatives as a group, compared to Liberals, have been shown to have lower intelligence and more rigid thinking patterns, difficulty with abstract thought, and other stuff I can't think of right now.
