This latest supremes decision is part of the last stand of fundies

They know their days are numbered-

They get mocked on social media, Voyager never found any fucking sign of heaven (Word!), white protestant males are looking at minority status, their "leaders" are either frothy or a fucking Bachmann joke. And PLUS-

A shit-load of them are going to die soon, Pat Robertson, The old Bushes, well, we may have to deal with Kirk Cameron for a number of decades but we need SOMEBODY to play with LOL. Every year more Americans are showing to have little or no religious belief.

The times are a changing so they are doing their last stand. Shit, even Alito doesn't look too healthy. He may even kick the bucket before that POS babs---

So yes, they will continue to try to knock dents in the equitable society everyone wants (who has an IQ over 80). But they have no end game....

It's also possible it could go the other way - they get enough of what they want now, before the younger generation really starts voting, and then they hold onto it on a local level.

The Fundamentalists are raising a whole new generation of fundies. They call it "home schooling". Here, amid "the sanctity of family" they teach their kids that the earth is only 6000 years old, that climate change is a hoax, that liberals are all devil-worshipers or whatever other nonsense they come up with from their flawed reading of "God's Word".

religious shit, because the American Taliban is alive and well, and far to many Americans have their head in the sand or up their butt.

Once step forward, two steps back. Two steps forward, one step back. The joy is in the struggle. And don't forget the progress made and progress still to be achieved. That's an existentialist view. That you are defined by actions. Not by the world around you so much. For me, it aligns with history. It's why I never give up. I try and find joy in the struggles. You certainly meet interesting people along the way.

where only "Christians" are citizens and have rights. That's their end game. We may not think they can get there, but they most certainly do.

and through the backdoor, they are doing it. After 9/11 when Bush pretty much declared that this was a "Crusade" the Good Christians vs The Evil Muslims, I knew we were in trouble...

This decision opens the door to a government sanctioned religion.
